Halloween Cocoa

It is one of my kids favorite traditions. They don't get candy often and so when they do, it is something to be celebrated. This weeks candy celebration came just after I had spent the whole day canning pears and tomato sauce. I needed a little pick me up. So I made some cocoa and just for flare, I dropped in a Peeps marshmallow cat. Instant party... the kids were thrilled!

Bring on Halloween. I'm ready!

What a cute idea for Halloween. I never thought of putting peeps in cocoa. Those things have a lot of sugar.

They DO have a lot of sugar! Almost as much as the cocoa (which is fair trade and organic... and always makes me laugh to drop a peep in there). But my kids only get the one in their cocoa. I have been known to eat the rest (shhhh! Don't tell the crunchy world!) but this time they went into the trash.

Blessings,

Val
